Rules and Registration

Canby Snowman Contest Rules

PARTICIPANTS MUST PRE-REGISTER. Space is limited. Space will be provided on a first come first served basis. Registration may be done at www.hotroddreamworks or in person at Victory Point Property Group and/or Hot Rod Dreamworks during regular business hours. MUST register by November 23rd.

After registration, you will receive an email with instructions on where to set up your snowman. You will be required to set up your own snowman downtown at the spot assigned to you at registration.

Free to participate! Contest is open to businesses, organizations and clubs (schools/churches/non-profit/etc). Snowman can be set up between November 26th thru December 5th (by 5pm). Snowman will need to be up & completely ready for display by December 5th at 5pm. (In time for Canby's Light Up the Night on Friday).

Snowman must be identified with the name of the business entering the snowman (may be temporary – need not be permanently attached) onto the snowman itself – so the snowman can be properly identified with the correct registration information (and proper credit and acknowledgement can be given!). Snowman may only be 25 inch in width or less. If snowman is bigger than allowed, he/she will be taken down due to regulations.

Snowman may be made of any materials the contestant chooses. Keep in mind snowman will be displayed outdoors in downtown Canby so they should be designed with withstanding winter weather in mind. All snowman must be designed so that they will stand upright and supplied with materials necessary to display them in an upright manner.

All snowman must be absent of adult, political or excessively gory themes. All snowman must be in good taste and appropriate for viewing by the public. Any snowman deemed inappropriate or in bad taste will not be displayed and not entered into the contest. Hot Rod Dreamworks & Victory Point Property Group reserves the right for final decision regarding appropriateness.

All snowman will be displayed in downtown Canby, OR attached to a tree or a light pole. Display location of snowman will be determined by Hot Rod Dreamworks, Victory Point Property Group, and Canby Main Street.

Voting on snowman will take place between December 7th - January 1st, midnight, 2019. Voting is open to anyone. Voting may be done online at www.hotroddreamworks/snowmancontest. Winners will be announced on January 3rd online & via the Hot Rod Dreamworks website and Facebook page. Snowman will need to be torn down between January 3rd and 5th. If your snowman is not picked up by Jan 5th, it will be removed and discarded by Jan 7th.
